1994 Yukon Visitor Exit Survey - Visitor Profile

This report uses data from June through September for the 1994 Yukon Visitor Exit Survey to take a new look at the type of visitors travelling to the Yukon. This information is still the most relevant, accurate and comprehensive for Yukon's tourism industry.

A profile of all Yukon visitors, grouped by Americans, Canadians and Overseas, introduces the findings. Three distinctive visitor segments have been identified:

Pass through, who stated that the Yukon was not the primary destination on their trip, excluding motorcoach;
Destination Yukon, who stated that the Yukon was the primary destination on their trip, excluding motorcoach;
Motorcoach, who arrived in the Yukon via motorcoach.
