Surveys

The Tourism Product Development and Research unit carries out a variety of tourism surveys to measure visitor volumes, economic impact, and to obtain consumer profiles.

In 2001 and 2002 (June to September) the unit conducted a survey of the On Yukon Time program. Below you will find results of the surveys as well as the results from the Air Travellers survey.

The Yukon Government has been conducting visitor exit surveys every 5 years for almost 2 decades. During summer 2004, the unit conducted another Yukon Visitor Exit Survey. Like previous visitor exit surveys, it focused on capturing visitors as they left the Yukon or particular regions of the Yukon for the last time, recording their activities during their stay. Preliminary results from 2004 as well as results from previous visitor exit surveys are available below.
